According to the Catalan Public Employment Service (SOC), this increase is explained by the end of the touristic season and of the fruit harvest season. At the same time, economy has seen a growth of 0.1% in the third trimester of 2010 thanks to the activity on industrial exports and to the recent touristic season, which have compensated the sustained decline of activity on the construction sector.
