Catalan Tourism Agency will promote Catalonia on the Guangzhou China International Tourism Industry Expo

Catalan Tourism Agency is planning to promote Catalonia on the Guangzhou China International Tourism Industry Expo next September and on the ITB Asia in Singapore in October, together with other 40 events of similar kind all around the world.

Desigual opens two new shops in Malaysia

Catalan clothing company Desigual has just opened two concept stores in the international airport of Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia. As usual, Desigual shops offer colorful clothes and accessories and with innovative designs of graffiti and patchwork. Every season Desigual presents a collaboration around a specific concept and this year it is the turn of the Cirque du Soleil and the French designer Christian Lacroix. With these new shops, Desigual products are already available in more than 80 countries.

New activities of the Barcelona Shanghai Women Bridge

Mercè Carreras-Solanas and Yuwen Wu, the creators of the Barcelona-Shanghai Women Bridge project, have announced their new activities on their blog. On one hand, they have created the BSWomenB Urbanism Group Video Conference, and on the other they have started to collaborate with the Claustro Senior de la Cátedra China and with the ESADE China Europe Club (Chinese version at ESADE中欧俱乐部). Meeting the Dragon: strategies of Chinese companies in Spain and Latin America

On Tuesday, Jan 15th 2013, Casa Àsia headquarters in Barcelona will host a workshop devoted to learning about the strategies of the Chinese companies that have moved to Europe and Latin America during the last decade. The representatives of companies from these areas are aware of the opportunities and challenges that these investments represent, so it is important to know them and assess them in detail.

This workshop will be based on the work "Tejiendo redes: estrategias de las empresas transnacionales asiáticas en América Latina" (Buenos Aires, UNTREF, 2012), which helps to understand the approach of Chinese companies to two different markets: Argentina and Spain.
