Today China is nearer than ever and it is expected to get even closer in the near future. The big cultural gap and the lack of knowledge of its history, traditions, etc., can produce undesired misunderstandings in business meetings, which makes this kind of knowledge essential when establishing negotiations. On Thursday February 23rd, 2012, the College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia is organizing a workshop about Business Protocols in China. The event will be held at the college headquarters, located at Via Laietana 39, 5th floor, in Barcelona, at 6:30 pm and it will be presented by its Dean, Joan Vallvé.
The participants in this workshop will be:
- Ivo Bargalló Carné, Master in Chinese and Oriental Studies by the Universities of Newcastle, London (School of Oriental and African Studies) and Beijing (Peking University), Master in Chinese History and Classic Chinese by the University of Oxford.
- Mònica Moyano, Graduate in East Asia Studies, Postgraduate Course in Arts and Societies of East Asia, Master in East Asia, President of the Association Shui Di (水滴) (Drop of Water).
- Amadeu Jensana, Director of the Department of Economy and Business of Casa Asia.
Chairman: Alfonso Carlos Auguet, owner of Technical Consulting Office, S.L.
