Catalonia is leading job creation in Spain

The number of unemployed people in Catalonia has decreased in the third trimester of 2010 by 6,700 people and 34,500 new jobs have been created. This newly created jobs account for half of those created in overall Spain. Total number of unemployed citizens in Catalonia now accounts for 669,400 people, which represents 17,41% of the working population. Same figures in Spain are 4,574,500 people and 19,79%. Spanish unemployment rate has decreased below 20% for the first time since 2007.
